About Valence

Valence is a new approach to dating that puts genuine connection ahead of endless profiles and superficial swiping. We’re building something designed to make meeting someone feel more natural, more meaningful and, ultimately, more human.

Valence isn’t being built for one profession, one university or one particular stage of life. It’s for adults who believe there might be a better way to meet someone.

We’re keeping the finer details under wraps for now. But if you think dating could be better, we think you’ll like what we’re building.

Why Edinburgh + Glasgow?

Dating apps work best when there are enough relevant people nearby. Rather than spreading ourselves too thinly, we’re starting with two connected cities and concentrating on building a strong community there first.

That gives us the chance to learn quickly, improve Valence with real users and prove whether a connection-first approach can create something better.
